Title: Health Informatics (Assistant/Associate/Full Professors)

The School of Information at the University of Michigan (UMSI) seeks a tenure-track professor at the assistant, associate or full professor level in the field of health informatics, with a focus on either 1) the design and evaluation of novel sociotechnical applications in the health domain and/or 2) analysis of health-related data. UMSI seeks applicants who can contribute to the research, teaching, and service missions of the school and the university.

The University of Michigan School of Information (UMSI) invites applicants for the U-M President’s Postdoctoral Fellowship Program (PPFP) Faculty at UMSI have a successful record of providing a nurturing and productive postdoctoral experience for President’s Postdoctoral Fellows. “The University seeks applicants whose research, teaching, and service will contribute to diversity and equal opportunity in higher education. The program is particularly interested in scholars with the potential to bring to their research and undergraduate teaching the critical perspective that comes from their non-traditional educational background or understanding of the experiences of groups historically underrepresented in higher education”.

In keeping with the PPFP program, UMSI is interested in future colleagues who are in STEM areas (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), especially computer science (e.g., human-computer interaction, data analytics, computational social science) as well as economics and political science. The position will not require teaching while holding the post-doc position, but we would like the candidate to have teaching experience and/or to demonstrate potential for excellence in the classroom.
